The origin of the NFL Super Bowl Now that the National Football League (NFL) Super Bowl ,The 44th annual NFL Super Bowl, has been held in Dolphin Stadium in Miami Gardens, Florida on February 7, 2010. The year 2010 will be the tenth time when this event was hosted by South Florida. The Championship has been held in the Dolphin Stadium five times already. Other times the game was played at the Orange Bowl. Then what is the NFL Super Bowl?
As it is said,the term 'Super Bowl' was coined by Lamar Hunt, the ex-owner of the Kansas City Chiefs and founder of the AFL; He innovate it after observing his children play with a Super Ball. This sensational American sports event has adopted a unique identification style since then. Instead of identifying the games by the year it is held, numerals are used. The games series begin a year before the Finals games takes place. For instance, the champions of 2009 regular season will be decided in the Finals of 2010. It was held for the first time in 15th January, 1967 in Los Angeles, California, the event called the AFL-NFL World Championship Game. This is because the championship as the result of an agreement between the American Football League (AFL) and the NFL that the leagues would compete in a football game till their merger was achieved. The leagues merged in the 1970s to become a 'conference'. Through the improvement and developmentof the game for several decades ,it has become world-widely.The number of the people who love this game from all over the world is increasing rapidly.
